The abstract submission for ESM 2018 is closed


The number of abstract submissions (374) exceeded the organizers’ expectations – thank you!
This means, however, that it will take longer than expected to process all the submissions.
Therefore the deadline for acceptance notifications has been postponed till 29 March 2018 .

You are still welcome to submit a late poster abstract by contacting


Abstracts must be max 250 words long and include text only (no pictures, tables or graphics). Do not include keywords or references. Abstracts must be submitted electronically using the online abstract submission system. Notifications of acceptance of presentations submitted by 12th of March will be sent to the corresponding author by 23rd of March 2018. To guarantee your place in the program, at least one author must register for the meeting by 9th of April 2018 (early-bird deadline). Your abstract will be withdrawn if you do not register by this date. Accepted scientific abstracts will be published on the abstract book.

  Oral presentation – The floor is yours
  Oral presentations are a central component of ESM2018 conference that provide participants with a valuable opportunity to share their research. The format consists of a 15-minute presentation, followed by questions and discussion with the audience.
  Lightning talk - A Short Way to Communicate Science
  A lightning talk is a very short presentation lasting only four minutes. Twelve lightning talks will be delivered by different speakers in a single session. Each speaker can prepare four slides that are automatically advanced at fixed intervals. Present an exceptionally clear message: Use a simple structure and end with a memorable message.
  Poster - Sell Your Work in Ten Seconds
  A printed poster is snapshot of your work intended encourage the reader to want to learn more and to engage colleagues in a dialog about the work. The recommended poster size is A0 portrait.
