In this context, digitalization refers to the integration and application of digital technologies and tools to transform systems, processes, and services to address development challenges, enhance efficiency, and improve accessibility. In the first part, you will learn about digitalization in Finland's and EU’s development policy and funding. You will also have an overview of the development challenges addressed, such as improving service delivery and empowering communities, along with priorities of other key donors and financiers of digitalization & development. The second part introduces you to Finland cutting-edge expertise in digitalization, available to support the planning and implementation of international cooperation. The course concludes with an introduction of relevant Finnish actors and support modalities to advance cooperation in the digital sector.
