Date & Time: 11 September 2026, 14:00-15:30

Organiser: The SCC Arbitration Institute and Ciarb

Event: Roundtable discussion: Corruption and arbitration

Description: Corruption remains one of the most complex and consequential challenges facing international dispute resolution today. As arbitration continues to serve as a primary mechanism for resolving cross-border commercial disputes, questions of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct are more pressing than ever.

This roundtable brings together leading voices from the arbitration community, policymakers, and legal practitioners for a candid and solutions-driven discussion on corruption risks in arbitration, examining how the field can strengthen its defences and uphold the highest standards of integrity.

The event is part of CIArb’s Global Roundtable Series, a multi-city initiative designed to foster frank, multi-stakeholder dialogue on corruption and its intersection with alternative dispute resolution. Held in collaboration with the SCC Arbitration Institute, the Stockholm edition contributes to a broader effort culminating in a CIArb White Paper drawing on insights gathered across all roundtable locations.

Venue: SCC Arbitration Insitute, Regeringsgatan 29, Stockholm

Date & Time: 11 September 2026, 16:30-18:30

Organiser: The Caucasus and Central Asia Arbitration series & Mannheimer Swartling

Event: Panel discussions and networking reception

Description: For parties from the Caucasus and Central Asia navigating high-value cross-border disputes, the choice of seat and arbitration institution is one of the most consequential decisions in the life of a case.

This event places that decision at its centre, asking what users from the Caucasus and Central Asia genuinely prioritise when selecting a seat and arbitration institution — and what these must offer to earn their confidence. Questions of legal stability, institutional standing, enforceability, and access to skilled counsel and experienced arbitrators will all be on the table.

Stockholm and the SCC have long been fixtures of choice for parties from the Caucasus and Central Asia. As competition among seats and institutions grows and the region's dispute resolution needs evolve, the question is how that position can be not only maintained but strengthened. What must Stockholm and the SCC continue to offer — and where must they adapt — to be a popular forum for the next generation of regional users?

Join us for this event, held at Mannheimer Swartling's offices in Stockholm in conjunction with the Swedish Arbitration Days.

Venue: Mannheimer Swartling, Norrlandsgatan 21, Stockholm
