Questions and answers
What is it about?
The conference is a regular gathering of Nordic foundations, organised in a different Nordic country each time. We will promise to do our very best to ensure that the conference offers you:
- At least two valuable new connections with colleagues from other Nordic countries – people and foundations with whom you share common ground.
- Fresh perspectives that challenge your thinking at least twice: What does polarisation mean for us? How can we address it? And what role can foundations play together? (If polarisation sounds heavy, remember that there will be insights on other topics, too!)
- Inspiring benchmarks: examples of organisations, solutions, and practices that can fuel your work.
- The first steps toward new collaborations that could grow into something bigger.
- Two joyful days in Helsinki, filled with great company and inspiring conversations.
The conference languages are Skandinaviska and English. English interpretation will be available for all main sessions. Breakout sessions will be held either in English or skandinaviska, depending on the organisers' choice. The guiding principle is that everyone should feel comfortable participating in the language that feels most natural to them. Even if a session is hosted in a Scandinavian language, you’re welcome to ask questions in English.
When can I choose the breakout sessions?
We are currently finalising the conference programme and schedule. In August, we will send an email to all registered participants, through which you can choose the sessions you’re interested in.
What if my plans change and I cannot join?
The participation fee is paid by credit card at the time of registration. If you’re unable to attend, you can transfer your spot to a colleague from your foundation. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund participation fees that have already been paid.

Should I stay in Helsinki for the weekend?
Absolutely! MyHelsinki website offers you wonderful tips on things to do and see by themes. Maybe testing one or two of our public saunas? Enjoying Helsinki's booming restaurant scene? Walking around in our beautiful Jugend districts?
