Research and Innovation Excellence through gender equality: New pathways and challenges

The conference organizers would like to offer the possibility for participants to bring posters and limited amount of other materials to exhibit during the lunch and coffee breaks. If you are interested in doing this, please contact

Conference Venue

The conference takes place at the Scandic Grand Marina Congress Center in the very centre of Helsinki, right on the city’s iconic seafront.

Congress Center address:
Katajanokanlaituri 6, 00160 Helsinki

The conference is free of charge for the participants. The accommodation and travel expenses are, however, covered by the participants.

Scandic Grand Marina is unfortunately almost fully booked for the duration of the conference. Therefore the accommodation deal that the organizer has made is no longer valid and participants should look for accommodation elsewhere.

Due to Finland’s Presidency, hotels in Helsinki are getting fully booked fast and we recommend making the accommodation bookings as soon as possible.

We recommend participants to check the following hotels when looking for accommodation:

Scandic Park
Scandic Simonkenttä
Hotel Katajanokka
Sokos Hotel Vaakuna
Holiday Inn Helsinki City Centre
There are no special rates for these hotels for conference quests.

These options are located with great public transportation possibilities – as are most hotels in Helsinki.
