Is this sailing suitable for a first-timer/ is this sailing challenging enough for an experienced sailor?
The "ease" or "challenge" of sailing depends on many factors: weather conditions, the length of the sailing day, the size and composition of the group, personal preferences, and fears – just to name a few.
In principle, all our sailings should be approached as an adventure, and anyone can join a sailing experience regardless of their prior sailing experience. We believe that on every sailing, everyone learns something new, whether it's about sailing, ships, navigation, themselves, their own limits, or other people. In practice, all our sailings include both beginners or those with very little sailing experience and more experienced sailors.
If you have concerns about the "challenge" of the sailing, it's advisable to call our office and provide more details about your background.
Sailing price and payment
The price of the voyage includes full board during the sailing, equipment (inflatable life jacket and safety harness), the programme, saunas and showers in the ports, and professional guidance in all the everyday tasks of life on a sailing ship in accordance with the Sail Training principle.
All of our voyages are invoiced in one installment approximately 14 days before the start of the voyage. The invoice will be sent to the email address provided at the time of registration.
Please note that the voyage can also be paid partly or in full using sports benefits from Smartum, Edenred, or Epassi. To use your sports benefit, pay the desired amount through your sports benefit provider’s website or app to the Finnish Sail Training Foundation and send us the receipt along with information about your booked voyage by email.
The sports benefit payment should be made no later than approximately three weeks before the start of the voyage so that we can deduct the amount used from your final invoice.
The price does not include travel to the departure or arrival port, insurance, or independent activities/shopping in ports. Please carefully review the
booking and cancellation terms before making a reservation.
