10th Annual International GamiFIN Conference 2026
23-27 March 2026, Saariselkä, Finland
Please use this form to register for the GamiFIN Conference 2026. Presenters should register by 12 January 2026. The registration deadline for all other presentation formats (posters, demos, work in progress, extended abstracts, doctoral consortium) and the general audience (no presenters) is 9 March 2026. Please note that the members of a group registration can change their information through the Edit your information link in their personal confirmation e-mail.
Registration fee
The fees are VAT 0 % (VAT will not be added). The general participation fee is 490 EUR for all participants (keynote speakers and organisers free of charge). Please note that accepted presenters should register by 12 January 2026.
The participation fee includes:
- full conference program
- facilitation of your presentation (furniture and stationary)
- coffee and related refreshments during the conference
- light lunch on conference days
- transportations related to the conference program
Not included in the participation fee:
- breakfasts (these are usually part of the hotels’ room rates)
- dinners for the other days of the event
- transport to and from the airport /railway station to the hotel
- poster printing for the poster sessions
- other winter activities, either alone or with your travel companions or as organized with other conference participants, such as skiing, sled-riding, snowmobile riding, etc., are self-organized at your own expense (the conference team can help you organize activities with other participants, but it is not considered part of the conference program)
Companion fee (only for the conference dinner on 25 March):
- Adult companion 130 EUR
- Child companion 60 EUR
Payment
The participation fee(s) are paid when registering for the event. The payment is made with a credit card (no additional charges). If invoicing (bank transfer) is needed, please contact congress@tuni.fi.
If you need to pay your companion's fee separate from your own registration fee, please do the following:
- Fill out the registration form with your own participation, clicking "No" in the companion option
- Complete your registration and make the payment. After receiving your confirmation email, return to your personal registration form through the “Edit your information" link on the confirmation message.
- Edit your registration information by answering "Yes" to the companion question and choosing the type of companion. The system will add the companion fee(s) to the shopping cart and you can proceed to payment.
Please note that the cancellation rules also apply to the companion fees.
NB! TAU Staff member: Before filling in the registration form, please make sure that you have at hand the information on your faculty, the person who approves the costs and the cost unit or project number for the internal transfer procedure of the registration fee. When choosing the participation fee category, please select TAU Staff Member (internal transfer).
Cancellation policy
According to sustainability principles and to avoid food waste, please cancel your registration if you cannot attend the conference or the dinner. For cancellations received by 15 March 2026, the paid participation fees will be fully refunded. No refund will be made for cancellations made after this date. No refunds will be made for no-shows. Companion fees are not refunded separately, if a participant cancels their companion's registration to the dinner. Participation that has already been registered can be transferred to another person from the same organisation without any extra charge. Cancellations and requests for refunds and registration transfers must always be made by email to congress@tuni.fi.
Visa invitation letters
Please note that invitation letters should be requested via the
info@gamifinconference.com email address only once the full registration fee for the conference has been paid and the necessary proof of university / organizational enrolments are provided. Please bear in mind that the Finnish consulate in your country may require additional documentation and that visa issuing times may vary.
