Registration as Present/Absent for the Academic Year 2020-2021
Registration for the following academic year must be done between 1 March - 31 May each year (exception for COVID-19: by 31 July 2020). For tuition fee paying students, this requires the payment of the first installment (50%) of the tuition fee. Possible second installment will be determined based on study success on 15 August each year. If the possible scholarship awarded does not cover the remaining 50% of the tuition fee, the second installment must be paid by 31 August each year (exception for COVID-19: by 30 September 2020).
Students registered as absent (non-attendance) can use TAMK's network user identifications and student email but do not have the access rights to TAMK's facilities. Nor do they have the right to complete any studies, and they are not entitled to student financial aid, meal subsidy, travel discounts or any benefits of the student union membership. We kindly remind you that TAMK will not re-organise studies that have ended or been changed during students' absence.
Students can change their registration for the spring term by 30 November. Further information can be found in the TAMK degree regulations. The registration for attendance is done automatically for students for whom the vice president in charge of education has granted an extension period.
If students neglect the registration obligation, they will lose their study entitlement. They can apply for return of the study entitlement lost due to negligence of the registration obligation from the beginning of the application month. A fee of 50 euros is collected for processing the application. For tuition fee paying students, there will also be interest (5% monthly) incurred on the amount to be paid.
