About the webinar
Forsvarsbygg, who manages and develops infrastructure for Norway’s defence sector, is preparing for a historically large investment program linked to Norway’s Long-Term Defence Plan 2025-2036. The plan includes major expansion and modernization of military bases, housing, logistics facilities, air bases, naval infrastructure, training areas, and NATO support infrastructure across the country.
Norway’s defence build-up is supported by a broader national defence spending increase of around NOK 715 billion (EUR 65 bn) over 12 years. Planned property, building and infrastructure investments will constitute an important portion of the total plan. Overall, Forsvarsbygg is expected to undertake one of the largest public construction programs in modern Norwegian history, focused on strengthening national and NATO defence capabilities until the mid-2030s.
The largest investments are concentrated in Troms, Trøndelag, Nordland and Finnmark. Therefore, the focus of the webinar will be on defence construction opportunities in Northern Norway and cross-border opportunities for Finnish companies in the next few years.
