Swedish Biodiversity Data Infrastructure SBDI Researcher Meeting

 

Welcome to this SBDI Researcher Meeting inviting interested researchers and others working with biodiversity data, especially at KTH, KI and SciLifeLab. 

This meeting is open for anyone interested. We will be offering a light lunch for those who have registered by the 14th of October. 

 

Agenda

The meeting will include brief information about SBDI and GBIF, examples of data being uploaded/used, and tools developed by SBDI. There will also be ample time for questions and discussion.

  • 12.00-12.20 Introduction to SBDI & GBIF Sweden

  • 12.20-12.35 Example tool: ASV portal for metabarcoding data

  • 12.35-12.50 Example datasets, use-cases and connections to machine learning: Marine Plankton Data: imaging and metabarcoding, Insect Biome Atlas, DarkTree, Finance to Revive Biodiversity

  • 12.50-13.00 One health: VectorNet, Bat hotspots and pandemic preparedness

  • 13.00-13.40 Discussion and input from researchers on needs and future development of SBDI and GBIF Sweden
