PlantImPhys seminar series
– Plant physiology: learning to see the "invisible"
The new Luke plant phenotyping system arrives in summer 2023. How can it help you in your research?
Background information
To help plant research, production and breeding, we need to learn how to see “invisible” variations in plant performance. Photosynthesis lies in the heart of plant energy metabolism, but it is also a sensitive marker of plant stress and acclimation.
Luke has purchased a mobile plant phenotyping system that does advanced chlorophyll fluorescence, thermal and RGB imaging and their combinations. The system will arrive in summer 2023. Before this, we invite you to a seminar series to introduce basic imaging principles and discuss possible applications of the technology in your future work. Special emphasis will be given to new approaches in photosynthesis research.
