Employee experience – Future is now
Tue 7 Oct 13:00-16:00
Zoom, online workshop
Description: We invite English-speaking hospitality and event employees to have a say in forming a joint understanding about the future of work and employee experience. Also, you will get up-to-date information about Finnish workshops held in the Spring and Autumn 2025.
“Future is now” online workshop gives you the opportunity to influence the future of working life in the hospitality and event industries. By sharing your ideas about the future challenges and opportunities – and solutions – you can take part in a national development programme involving three Universities of Applied Sciences, and 40 SMEs. A cavalcade of employee profiles in the field of hospitality and event industries, and lessons learned from Finnish workshops set inspirational ground for joint discussion. We take an active role in framing the changes and alternative futures of Finland’s increasingly multicultural working life. In a three-hour online workshop, you can network with others, get creative together, and help to understand the future from employees’ perspective.
Structure of the online workshop:
- Opening words
- Future or Futures of Work?
- Working in small groups online
- Discussion about the results
- Closing remarks and next steps
The workshop is free-of-charge, and open to all (English-speaking) employees in the tourism, restaurant and event industries, and job-seekers.
Register now – enrollment is open until 30 Sept ’25.
More detailed information and the Zoom link will be sent to enrolled participants from @tuni.fi email address.
The workshop is organised by Tampere UAS as a part of a MERIT development programme that stands for a meaningful employee experience in the hospitality and event industry. The project is co-funded by the EU, and collaborated by Lapland UAS and LAB UAS.
