LUPA HARRASTAA: JAPANESE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE (Grades 7–9)
The group explores the Japanese language, culture, and media culture based on the participants’ interests. During the fall, topics covered will include Japanese traditions, popular culture (such as manga and anime), video games, and the language. The group also offers the opportunity to learn how to create comics and tell stories. The activities are designed to be accessible to everyone, and no prior knowledge or experience is required. The group is led by Susanna Määttä, a longtime Japan enthusiast.
Tuesdays at 3:45–5:15 p.m.
September 8–December 1, 2026 (except Tue, Oct. 13). A total of 12 sessions.
For 7th–9th graders

Free of charge. The group is limited to 15 participants.
