Networking for Introverts (and Everyone Else)
This practical workshop looks at networking from a different angle — not as a performance or a skill you either have or don't, but as something that happens naturally between people, in conversations, shared spaces and common interests. We start by naming what makes networking feel scary, awkward or just not for you, and work from there.
During the session, you will map your current networks, clarify what you are actually looking for, and think through who you would genuinely benefit from connecting with right now. We use a simple framework — Why, Who, How, When — as a guide for taking steps that feel authentic rather than forced.
The session is conversational and participatory. It includes reflection exercises, small group discussions and practical tasks to help you identify your own strengths, gaps and next realistic steps. We look at questions like who already sees your skills, what you bring to a network, and how to approach new contacts without it feeling like a cold call.
We are also joined by a Vibha Deshpande from Microsoft who will share their own story and how they think networking benefits individuals.
