Bringing together leaders from business, Indigenous communities, policymaking, finance, and academia, this session explores how Arctic innovation, from Indigenous knowledge to cutting-edge circular economy solutions, can deliver practical and scalable responses to climate, economic, and geopolitical challenges.

The Arctic is experiencing some of the world's fastest environmental, economic, and geopolitical change. In response, Indigenous communities, businesses, researchers, policymakers, and investors are developing innovative approaches that strengthen resilience while supporting sustainable economic growth.

Long before the term circular economy existed, Arctic Indigenous Peoples developed knowledge systems grounded in stewardship, resource efficiency, and long-term thinking. Today, these principles are complemented by advances in circular business models, clean technologies, sustainable finance, and policy innovation. Finland has emerged as a global leader in circular economy solutions, while Indigenous leadership across Sápmi and the wider Arctic continues to demonstrate how traditional knowledge and community-driven approaches can shape resilient futures.
