In Conversation with Christina Tosi
The Experience
These Experience Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your booking and participation in the Experience: In Conversation with Christina Tosi presented by American Express Australia Limited (“We/us”) on 01/05/2026 (the “Experience”). By booking or attending the Experience, you (“You”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
Inclusions & Exclusions
The Experience comprises the following inclusions only:
- In-Conversation with Christina Tosi and Q&A
- Premium canapés and barista coffee on arrival
- Networking opportunity
- Gift
The Experience does not include Flights, Transfers, Accommodation, Personal Expenses. Inclusions are provided by third-party providers and are subject to the third party’s terms, conditions and policies as outlined in these Terms.
Eligibility
The Experience is exclusively available to Platinum Card Members, with a valid Card account in good standing and their guest(s) (You and any guests are each an “Attendee”) and is limited to 4 bookings per Card Account. Unless otherwise specified, all Attendees must be 18 years of age or older. You must ensure your guests are aware of and comply with these Terms.
Booking & Payment
Payment must be made using an eligible American Express Card or Membership Rewards® points. Cash or other loyalty programs are not accepted. If paying with Membership Rewards, the Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions also apply.
The Experience is non-transferrable and must not be used for any commercial purpose including scalping, reselling, offering as a prize, trading or as part of an offer or promotion.
Refunds & Cancellations
If you cancel, your Membership Reward points or Card payment will not be refunded, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion or where required by law. If we cancel, you will be refunded Your Membership Rewards points or Card payment in full.
Changes & Substitutions
We may change or vary the Experience and any inclusions including the meals and beverages by substituting with suitable alternatives of an equivalent quality or value where reasonably necessary and We will give You reasonable notice where possible.
Emergencies/Force Majeure
Sometimes, we may need to cancel or make changes to the Experience due to circumstances that are beyond our control, for example third party provider failure or cancellations, natural disasters, adverse weather events, or mechanical or equipment failures. We are not liable or responsible to Attendees for cancellation or changes in those circumstances and we may not be able to give you advance notice.
Health & Safety
Attendees must be sufficiently fit and in good health to participate in the Experience. Whilst American Express takes reasonable steps to ensure the Experience is conducted safely, certain activities may involve inherent risks and hazards and Attendees are responsible for exercising due care at all times. For certain Experiences involving higher-risk activities, Attendees may be required to certify their health and fitness and complete additional forms and liability waivers.
Third Parties
The Experience comprises a range of products and services provided by third parties including food and beverages (each a “Third-Party Provider”). American Express is only the coordinator of these products and services and to the extent permitted by law, is not liable to Attendees for the acts, errors or omissions of Third-Party Providers. Third-Party Provider products and services are governed by separate terms and conditions which are available on request.
Identification
Attendees may be required to provide photo identification upon request to participate in some parts of the Experience.
Acceptable Behaviour
American Express does not tolerate any abusive, aggressive, offensive, illegal or inappropriate behaviour (“Inappropriate Behaviour”) including offensive or abusive conduct towards staff members. Alcohol must be consumed responsibly, and service will be refused if not. Attendees engaging in Inappropriate Behaviour may be removed from the venue and prohibited from future attendance.
Liability & Indemnity
American Express and its related bodies corporate (including its respective directors, officers, employees and agents) will not be liable to Attendees for any loss, damage, injury or death suffered or sustained in connection with the Experience, except to the extent it was caused or contributed to by American Express or where such liability cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the maximum amount permitted by law). Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Privacy
American Express will collect, use and share Attendee’s personal information for the purposes of managing their participation in the Experience including to complete bookings, make reservations and issue tickets. All personal information is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. For further details about our privacy practices, click here.
Media (including Social Media)
Photography, videography and other media may be present during the Experience and Attendees agree to their image being used in media or marketing depictions of the Experience by Us (including on social media). To opt-out, please email experiences-au@aexp.com or inform an American Express representative at the Experience.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by New South Wales laws and the courts of Sydney shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Code of Conduct:
American Express promotes a safe, enjoyable and inclusive environment for all Card Members and their guests at any American Express venue or experience. This includes a zero tolerance policy in relation to inappropriate behaviour, including (but not limited to) any level of abuse, such as aggressive or offensive behaviour toward any American Express/partner/event staff, any Card Member and their guests, or any other guests present within the American Express venue or experience. American Express also promotes responsible consumption of alcohol and has the right to refuse service of alcohol to an intoxicated guest. Should any Card Member or guest(s) of the Card Member exhibit (what American Express deems to be) inappropriate behaviour at any American Express venue or experience, American Express reserves the right to remove the Card Member and/or guest(s) from the venue or experience and prohibit future attendance. American Express also reserves the right to cancel the Card Member’s American Express Card(s) immediately.
1Cover Change with Points: 1. For each successful transaction with cover change with points, points chosen will be debited from your Membership Rewards account and a credit placed on your Card. A minimum of 1,000 Membership Rewards points is required to cover any eligible transaction with points. Account cannot be in credit when using cover change with points. A credit will appear on your statement identified as “Membership Rewards Credit”. Points will be debited immediately and the credit will take up to 2-4 business days to appear online. Credits processed after the Card account’s statement closing date will appear in the following statement. You are still responsible for payment of the amount due on your Card account by the due date. Any charges covered by points is not redeemable for cash via Credit balance refund. 2. American Express will select and display each eligible charge that can be covered with points (“Eligible Charge”) and the points rate required to cover the Eligible Charge. Each Eligible Charge must: (a) appear within the Online Statement of the Summary of Accounts page; (b) be redeemed within 2 months of the charge appearing on your Card account; (c) not currently or have previously been disputed; and (d) not be a fee. 3. Eligible Charges, including the points rate required to pay for the Eligible Charge, may be changed at any time without notice. Eligible transactions can be covered by points via your online account or American Express mobile app. Covering charges with points is available only to Primary Card Members enrolled in the Australian Membership Rewards program and is subject to the full Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions. Authorised agents, authorised account managers, Additional Cardmembers and Authorised Additional Cardmembers are not eligible. All Linked Card accounts must be in good standing.
