Call for Applications to Essential Telecom Skills for Delegates Training, 12.-14.06.2026, Tampere
Basic telecommunication skills are essential for all delegates who are deployed to short- or long-term field missions in operations and/or programs in order for them to perform effectively in their diverse professions. Up to date telecommunication skills also improve personal security.

Participants
Essential Telecom Skills for Delegates Training is recommended for all Finnish Red Cross delegates regardless of their profession.
Learning Objectives
After attending the training, the participants will
- have basic working knowledge of computers, cellphones, two-way radio procedures and satellite phones currently used in Finnish Red Cross international operations
- have basic telecommunication skills that enable them to perform effectively in their professional aid worker duties
Timing and Venue
The training will start on Friday the 12.06.26. at 17:00 and finish on Sunday the 14.06.26 by 15:00.
The training will take place in Finnish Red Cross Logistics Centre Kalkku, Kalkun kehätie 4, 33330 Tampere. Accommodation will be organized in shared rooms at a different location (TBC).
Participation Fee
The course participation fee is 60 €. Finnish Red Cross members may deduct 20 € from the fee. The participation fee will contribute to covering training materials, accommodation and meals.
You will be requested to pay the fee if you are accepted to the training. In case you wish to cancel your participation in the training later than five working days before the start of the training, we will consider your participation fee as a contribution to Finnish Red Cross International Aid.

The training is open for applications until Sunday 01.03.2026. The training applicants will be informed on the selections latest on Friday 06.03.2026.
