We will strengthen the dissemination of healthcare technology across regions, municipalities, general practitioners and companies by establishing local cross-sectoral development and test environments. We involve citizens in the development and testing processes and we turn users into co-developers. Creating a renewable and sustainable common meeting place for all.

Our purpose is to support the hospitals of the region, social and psychiatric services and assist these in developing and implementing innovative solutions. By doing so we seek to improve work procedure efficiency, create jobs and last but not least, advance and improve the overall patient experience.

eHealth City Svendborg is a cooperation project between Odense University Hospital, Public Intelligence, University of Southern Denmark and Svendborg City. The project is about health, innovation and user involvement. In eHealth City Svendborg, citizens take the driver’s seat when health and social care services are to be developed. In this project, the normal process is turned upside down. Instead of having the technology or the health sector defining the solutions up front, the citizens’ ideas will be the starting point and together with health and social care providers citizens will co-create tomorrow’s solutions.
