Alexander Stubb
Former Prime-, Finance- and Foreign Minister of Finland

Alexander Stubb served as Prime Minister, Finance Minister, Foreign Minister, Trade and Europe Minister of Finland between 2008 and 2016. His background is in academia and civil service, with a focus on EU affairs. He was a Member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2008, a Member of Parliament from 2011 to 2017 and Chairman of the National Coalition Party from 2014 to 2016. He held the position of Vice-President of the European Investment Bank from 2017 to 2020.

He is also the non-executive Chairman of the Board of Crisis Management Initiative (CMI), founded by Nobel Peace laureate, President Martti Ahtisaari. Mr Stubb holds a PhD from the London School of Economics, has published 18 books and is a self-professed sports fanatic.

Andrew Smith
General Manager for Sweden and Denmark, Avis Budget Group
 
Andrew has been with Avis Budget Group since 2013, when he first joined as Director of Procurement in EMEA. Andrew was responsible for all procurement activity for the Group’s European operations, before setting up a global procurement team. In 2016, he became Director of Logistics, Supply Chain and Procurement with responsibility for European functions including Maintenance, Logistics and Security.
 
In 2018 he became the General Manager and Managing Director for Denmark and Sweden. Andrew regularly represents Avis Budget Group at industry events and believes that the future of mobility will be enhanced through industry-wide partnerships allowing travellers to be presented with a range of options for their journey. Prior to his time at Avis Budget Group, much of Andrew’s background has been in supply chain management and business transformation roles, where he held several senior management positions at organisations including the Royal Mail and the Unipart Group of Companies. Outside of work, Andrew is an avid traveller and enjoys exploring new places, particularly within Scandinavia.

Started at Atlas Copco 2001 and in my current position since September 2018.
I have a background within project management, change management and purchasing but not within the travel industry. My aim is to drive the travel program internally across business functions to make business travel safe, sustainable, cost efficient and easy for our organization. To change our behavior and reach a better compliant within our business travel, I work with a clear global travel strategy that can be divided into projects and addressed to my stakeholders. I also like to challenge our suppliers to look at things in different ways. To be innovative in our travel program I think we must live after - “There is always a better way”.

Anton joined the Amadeus Corporation team in 2015, coming from a travel background, and has since then successfully worked closely with Nordic corporations helping them develop and improve their travel and expense management solutions. Bobbi Djordjevic CMP
Global Category Manager, Dentsply Sirona

Bobbi Djordjevic CMP, has over 20 years of experience of work with meetings and events. Her current role as Global Category Manager at Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest provider of dental solutions, includes ownership of a Global Strategic Meetings Management Program for more than 2000 meetings and events executed annually.

Bobbi is sharing her experience with SMMP and procurement driven approach to meetings and events strategies as a volunteer member in GBTA European Meetings and Events Committee.

He joined SAP Concur in 2015 after SAP’s acquisition of Concur and has been part of the fantastic growth of the Nordic organization from 1 to 35 people in less than 5 years. Today he is responsible for the sales organizations in Sweden and Finland. Christian’s vision and driving force is to secure a future for business travel focusing on Sustainability and Traveller Experience.

Fredrik Kämpfe 
Director Industry Affairs, Swedish Aviation Industry Group, Swedish Confederation of Transport Enterprises, Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv), Swedish Aviation Industry Group

Fredrik, a Swedish national, worked for several years with the Swedish CAA, first as rulemaking officer, then legal adviser and finally manager for the legal office.
 
He joined EASA in September 2004 as the agency’s deputy chief legal adviser and took up the position as manager for the Agreements and External Representation Section in the International Cooperation Department in May 2016 where he stayed until February 2018.
 
Fredrik came back to Sweden in March 2018 to take up the position as Director Industry Affairs for the Swedish Aviation Industry Group which forms part of the Swedish Confederation of Transport Enterprises.
Fredrik has also a technical background with an upper secondary school degree in mechanical engineering and Military service as a Battalion Engineer with the Swedish Armed Forces.
 
Fredrik is a private pilot with over 400 flight hours as pilot in command and has worked several years at Stockholm Arlanda Airport for a ground handling company. He also maintains a bus driver’s license, diving certificate and is a licensed coastal skipper. Transport, he says, is part of his life.

Jari works currently as Vice President, North&South Europe Sales at CWT. During his career, he has worked in different positions at CWT in Sales, Key Account Management, Marketing, Supplier Management and in Consulting. Jari has experience also from the client side, working as a Travel and Car Fleet Category Manager for two Finnish stock exchange companies. Jari started his career in travel in airline industry.

Julia Goodman
Performance Coach, Author & Speaker, CEO Personal Presentation Ltd. Transform your communication skills

Julia founded Personal Presentation Ltd. in 1989, after a successful career as actor, director and producer in television, film and theatre.  She trained at London’s Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has a degree in drama from UCL.

Her ‘You brand’ coaching process is rooted in the psychology and techniques of the professional Theatre.  It gives people the confidence to be authentic, individual and compelling wherever they go

Over the last 30 years Julia and her team have worked with Chairmen, CEO’s and senior teams around the world, teaching them the craft of performing naturally in those exposed situations where they may feel vulnerable and judged, and how to engage with impact, self-awareness and emotional intelligence in formal situations, meetings or one-to-one conversations.

Stockholm has a special place in Julia’s heart: years ago she attended a party here where she had a long conversation sitting on the stairs with the now King of Sweden about a popular TV series she starred in, The Brothers (“Arvingarna” in Sweden).  He was a huge fan!

In her role as Travel Manager for the Finnish Ministry of Defence, Minna Torppa has built a strong knowledge base not only for travel but also for Meetings & Events. Meetings Management evolution is her not-so secret longtime passion, and she currently serves both in GBTA and FBTA Meetings Committees.

Minna was recognized with the GBTA Business Travel Service Award in 2018 for her contribution in Meetings and Aviation Committees, and as steering group member of GBTA’s sustainability project ICARUS. For her home association FBTA, Minna has served as Board member as well as member in several working groups.

Simon Spiers
Director, Sales – Hotel Solutions, EMEA, BCD Travel

Simon challenges the traditional approach to corporate travel, embracing consumerisation and technology to improve the traveller experience while increasing program adoption—ultimately achieving savings beyond sourcing. Based out of the UK, Simon was one of the founding team members of Stay by BCD, bringing a holistic Global approach to hotel program management. Having spent the last 10 years of his career within the Corporate hotel space, he quickly develops solutions to client challenges within the segment. As Director, Sales – Hotel Solutions he is responsible for the EMEA region, consulting with multinational clients and prospects. His love of travel started whilst studying Economics and Geography at university, during which he wrote a dissertation highlighting how embedded the hotel industry is in Monaco. He first entered Corporate travel as a branch manager at Enterprise Rent a Car.

Driving travel agency consolidation in our four clusters in order to streamline the travel process further and reduce number of suppliers.

Global project mgr when implementing Concur Travel in 25 countries alongside with finance implementing Concur expense in 76 countries. Driving the use of standardised payment solutions as business travel accounts and company credit cards together with finance in order to further optimise our tools and processes.

In my role I advise, guide and support our colleagues around the world on travel management. This includes setting KPI’s for follow-up of top management targets, change management.

Verena Funke
Senior Director EMEA Account Management and Country Director Germany, Egencia

Verena Funke is the Country Director responsible for the business of the travel management company Egencia in Germany. At the same time, she holds the position of Senior Director EMEA Account Management. In this role, she is responsible for strategic customer care on a global level.
 
Funke has been with Egencia since 2010 and has held various key management positions. Most recently, she served as Interim Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific markets in Singapore for seven months in 2018. Former positions in the company included sales leadership as Sales Director and Director of Account Management and Implementation. In addition, she has traveled several stations in the travel industry, including. at the sister company Expedia.de GmbH as Head of Operations, at the travel agencies DER and ABR as a travel consultant and at LTU International Airways as a flight attendant.
