FEMS Early Career Scientist Grants

 

We are announcing FEMS Early Career Scientist grants intended to cover part of the travel costs and congress fee to attend ESM2018. Grants must be applied before 1st of March and addressed to ESM2018 Local Scientific Committee by e-mail microbes@luke.fi with the subject/title “FEMS Early Career Scientist Grant”.
Applications are expected to contain an abstract (max 250 words) and CV of the applicant (1 page) and information of the requested grant (250-600€ and 50% of the fee). Recommendation letter of a supervisor is asked from the applicants being not members of a FEMS member society.

Applicants that are chosen as grant holders are noticed as soon as possible, but before the 9th of April. Early career scientist grant is eligible to an active microbiologist who obtained his/her highest academic degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) less than five years prior to the application deadline date, or is currently a Masters or PhD student. Not too many grantees from the same institution and/or country can be selected.
